Mass Save Rebates for Edgartown Heat Pump Installations

Massachusetts homeowners replacing oil, propane, natural gas, or electric resistance heating with a qualifying heat pump may be eligible for rebates through the Mass Save rebates program. On Martha’s Vineyard, Cape Light Compact is the Mass Save electric sponsor. Actual rebate amounts depend on equipment selection, sizing, and eligibility requirements, and program terms are subject to change.

For 2026 installations, current program rates are structured as follows:

Whole-home heat pump rebate: $2,650 per ton, capped at $8,500
Partial-home heat pump rebate: $1,125 per ton, capped at $8,500
Basic single-zone rebate: $250 per ton, capped at $2,500
Sizing bonus (partial-home installations): up to $500
Weatherization bonus (partial-home installations): up to $500

The Mass Save 0% HEAT Loan covers up to $25,000 in qualifying equipment and installation costs. The federal Section 25C heat pump tax credit expired December 31, 2025, and isn’t available for 2026 installations. The Mass Save rebate and HEAT Loan are the primary incentive stack for Edgartown homeowners moving forward this year, subject to program terms and eligibility.
